Which Teething Remedy Works?
When your baby is going through the pain of teething you want to do something to ease their
discomfort. You need to find the right teething remedy. There are so many to choose from depending on if you want
to use teething devices, gels or try a natural route. Whatever you choose you want to be sure that it works good
for baby and eases their pain in a comfortable safe way.
There are many teething remedy medicines that can be tried if baby is having a really hard time.
There are liquids that are rubbed on the gums and there are gels are can be rubbed on the gums. Both will ease the
pain, but they are more a last alternative once all the others have been exhausted. If you can try another teething
remedy first that is a better idea.
To begin with the safest and easiest things to try are teething toys. The opportunity to chew on
something that will offer a little pain relief is the best thing for baby. You can use the toys that you freeze and
then give baby to chew on, there are pacifiers like this too, and often this numbing of the pain by the cold, is
enough to make baby feel better. Good toys, made of rubber or wood, will let baby ease some of the discomfort by
chewing down on them.
Another teething remedy is a teething biscuit. These are made specifically for the time when
baby is suffering from teething pain. They are of a different consistency then other biscuits or cookies and again
offer some pain relief simply by baby chewing on them.
If you want to try a natural teething remedy chamomile does some good. When baby is especially
irritable because their gums are red and swollen as their teeth are trying to come in or they not sleeping and
their nighttime routines are difficult for both of you this is worth trying. You can use this by either buying the
chamomile teething drops or simply by using some weak lukewarm chamomile tea and rubbing it on baby’s gums. It will
help to ease the swelling and pain.
